Month of March in Pictures

I have a few weeks before all posts will be about the new baby boy, so I thought I'd get as updated as a could before then.

March flew by, the boys kept us very busy!  Here is our month in pictures:

Con loves his baths

Mine and Johnny's date night at Lowes. I'm trying to talk him into a riding mower.

Drake painting a masterpiece for the baby's room.  I provided the colors and tools, he went to work.  I love it!

Just about the only big snow we got all winter.

Progress on our lot, the house is gone and the land is leveled!

We've been trying to get plans together and after the baby comes maybe we'll actually turn it into a yard!

Bubba had a Birthday!  He turned 3 and got Cars, Cars, Cars.
We had a family party, ice cream cake, and enough balloons to fight over for weeks.

I also had a birthday, the big 2-7.  Each boy gave me a different gift, and I have to say they were my favorite gifts ever.  Johnny - Pride and Prejudice blu-ray, Bubbs got me Pomegranate Izze's, Drake got me Chapstick, and Con got me a banana (which he asked to eat right after he gave it to me : )

My mom made me my favorite dinner, Steak Ranchero's, my sister made me a cake, and we had a great night!
Another birthday present for me was 5 basketball jerseys for the boys and their cousins.  Johnny was in NY and picked these up at the NBA store.  I LOVE these boys!

And at some point we made an Ikea trip, the boys favorite thing to do.

January & February flew by

Winter is almost over! When I look back at the last two months in pictures I'm kinda blown away at where time went. Here are some random pics and overdo updates:

Do you see Bubba? He prefers confined spaces. Con is rarely dressed, and if dressed, rarely has pants on.

Have I told you how awesome Johnny is in a while? No? He gets up with the boys every morning. It doesn't matter if its 5am or 8am, I hear tiny feet headed towards our room and lean over, hit Johnny, and ask him to get up with them. Every morning he says yes, rolls out of bed, and gets them downstairs.

Johnny says his favorite part of his day if breakfast. They never seem to get tired of oatmeal.

Con is growing up WAY too fast! He is starting to communicate more and more, which is a great thing for the most part, but "UH UH!" is probably his favorite thing to say. He loves to tease his older brothers, which I can't really get mad at because they probably deserve it most of the time. He gives the best kisses, never cries when he gets hurt (only when he wants something someone else is eating), and knows how to turn the music on on my phone and then dances around the room. His cheeks are the softest, most kissable things EVER, and he's turning out to be a snuggler like his brother Drakie. He's the greatest Chubby Con there is.

Johnny and I always wonder where Bubba gets his shape of eyes... His vocabulary is growing by the minute! I love this, having two out of three that can communicate is making things a tad easier (even if Bubba is usually yelling at me or someone around him - he is an angry child).

He's feisty and sweet and completely unique. He entertains himself for hours, knows what he wants and when and how he wants it, and runs through the house non stop with unending amounts of energy!
In nursery at church he always introduces himself when he walks in, "I'm Bubbaweeshy! BUBBA - WEESHY!" and then I'll say, thats not your name, so he'll respond "No, I Bubba. Wait, I Pierthe!" And after the introductions are over, he goes to each adult in the room asking for keys (to open the toy cupboard). As soon as the cupboard is unlocked, he pulls out bucket after bucket until he finds every Lightening McQueen and Mater, and if I've stayed in the room until this point, he'll come find me, lead me to the door, and say "Bye bye now!". I never get tired of this process and laugh every time : )

Drake is getting too big, too fast. Every night I go to the bunk bed and check on the boys, and see Drake laying their growing up in front of me. We put him in that bunk bed when he was 2 years old, and now he's 4 and I don't like it : ) He's helpful and sensitive and so expressive with his words. He's smart and curious and the questions he asks make me stop and really think (which is hard to do pregnant!).

Yesterday he came up to me and said, "Mom, I love pretty girls." I'm sad he's four, but when he says things like that I'm thrilled he's not sixteen.

Since the day Drake was born up until Fabruary 8th, I had never taken my boys to get a hair cut. I put myself through the mess and torture, thinking I was sparing myself from worse torture at a salon. I finally found a girl who cuts hair out of her house and has two little kids (and more Cars toys than Bubba has ever seen) that my boys can play with while they take turns. It was FANTASTIC!
Do you live around here? If so, go to Chelsea to get your hair or your kids hair done, she is awesome!

My three handsome guys and their new haircuts.

And last, I saw this picture in iPhoto and have no idea how or why it was there. I might need to be a bit more careful when handing them the iPad or phone, who knows what they're looking at.

Boys

It's been great having the boys cousins, Brady and Eli, living close for a while. My sisters husband is deployed in Africa until June so they moved out here from Maryland until he gets back. I know its not the greatest thing for her, but it is great for us!

A couple weekends ago we had the boys sleepover. They played so well together and it went so smooth that it made me think I could actually have five boys and do just fine!
I know, thats crazy.

They helped me clean the house so their reward was a trip to Provo Beach Resort to play on the big, indoor jungle gym. I had to follow the Fat Guy around through the whole thing and managed to get some pictures of the boys playing.

The best part of the trip were the people looking at all the boys (ages 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1) and seeing me pregnant, and thinking they were all mine. Their faces looked something like Con's.

A picture of Papa stopping by after church to say hi and getting bombarded by boys.

You'd have to be pretty tired to fall asleep in this position. Chubbacon felt it necessary to rub Bubbs head while he slept.

Little Johnny Hanna

Johnny and his sister Adrienne, are they not the best looking kids?!
I can see where Bubba gets his looks!

Busy Boys

With Johnny traveling so much this month, and most likely this year, I figured I needed some things to mix up our schedule and get the boys out. I decided on tumbling, each one going a different day. I am in the class with Bubba and Con, helping them do their different things, but Drake is all on his own. So far, we all love it!

Bubba had some issues our first time, not wanting to do what the class was doing and throwing some pretty huge tantrums, but this week was excellent! I loved having that one on one time with him. Con is con, pleasant and chubby, and the teacher couldn't believe how excited he was to do back rolls. I told her those were nothing compared to the tossing around he gets at home with his dadda.

Admittedly, I had a really hard time leaving Drake on his own and listening to the teacher discipline him. I wanted to go help him and remind him to listen and do what he was supposed to. This is a good lesson for us both on letting Drake figure things out for himself. I feel like such a baby!
He looks so little in his bright green shirt.

One of my favorite lamps broke today.

I don't know how many times I thought it was in a bad place and thought I should move it before it broke. I guess I can't be too sad about it, I kinda asked for it.

I'm going to try and fix it, but can't seem to get it straight.
In the meantime if anyone happens to see one of these at TJ Maxx please let me know!

We've entered the Lego phase. We've only had them since Christmas and I've already stepped on them about a thousand times.

Seeing Drake's creativity and endless amusement makes it worth it though : )

(Why do they make the Lego men have creepo facial hair and angry eyes?)

Backyard Project

We've made a little bit of progress over the last three months on our backyard lot project.

I made a diagram (or multiple diagrams) of how I'll want to landscape the land and it meant a lot of the trees would have to be removed.
You can't tell with all of the leaves, but these trees and bushes have been neglected for about 20 years. They are pretty disfigured with loads of dead branches.

Johnny got to be a man and chop everything down. On top of that, he also went through the house and salvaged all of the old doors and windows.

It may seem gloomy, but it's on it's way to being cared for and beautiful!
Questar was here today capping off the gas lines, one step closer to getting a demolition permit. As soon as that happens we'll be able to tear down the home, level the land, and prep it for landscaping. Exciting!

In the meantime, I can figure out what to do with these items. If you have any ideas send them my way!

...and if you were wondering, YES, Con is keeping his weight up.
