Our project for the last two weeks has been putting together a new play set for the boys and laying sod. We just finished Saturday! Luckily we have Johnny's brothers around to help, Mike practically built the whole thing and Porter did the yard work. They are the greatest!
Here is a picture of the yard last summer. The previous owners had it sectioned off, which left a great, big, perfect place for Bubba to dig in and eat the dirt/mud.
We pulled up the bushes, transplanted the tulips, and laid sod in the whole area. It added so much back yard.
Its been pretty freezing since Saturday, but luckily the sun came out for a little bit on Sunday and the boys were able to test it out. And Johnny was able to try and use a lacrosse stick.
They love it! Now I can't wait for it to get warm so we can start having some friends over to play!
Pure joy.
And Con had a splendid time being held by Mimi, eating and watching the ruckus.
The camera doesn't add ten pounds, he's just fat.

Nice work! I, too, prefer the grass. Let us know if those boys ever need a girl around. :) We'll help you test out the swingset...and pool, for that matter. :)
Ha Ha Paige you crack me up! I love the last comment about Conrad being fat! Reese just had her 16 month check up and she is 19 lbs!! Ha ha oh man! PS LOVE your backyard. Wish we lived close and we would be your swimming buddies:) andddd let me know when you think of a new name for the blog!

I love the swingset. Your husband is much more levelheaded than mine, who says it's "not worth getting something that they kids will just grow out of." I know, like in 7 YEARS!
