Near the end of the month my little Banks needed to get his tonsils out. He'd been having infections almost weekly and has had trouble sleeping since he was tiny. I was told that recovering from it was hell, and we were in for a looooong few weeks.
He did great with the surgery and even had enough energy to build a lego tower (or rather, watched Johnny build it).
Drake and Pierce had a crazy hair day!
Johnny traveled most of the month, which meant lots of movies in bed and playing outside.
Aaaaannnnndddd, then we were back in the hospital. Banks gave us a nice scare with choking on and coughing up lots of blood (ah, gag). We took him to the ER where he threw up the same stuff everywhere and was admitted. If the bleeding didn't stop they would re-coterize it, and that starts the whole healing process over. LUCKILY, that didn't happen and we went home around 10pm that night.
Drake and Bubba took a field trip to an apple orchard, where they got a tour of the picking process and I got to watch a cute little girl named Ireland try and hold Bubba's hand through most of it.
Halloween was easy. Got on Amazon, ordered costumes, recieved them two days later, and forced the boys into them. Romney was more of a half dog/lion, but it was cute and furry. Bubba was so excited to be "Hawy Potta" with a scar on his head, and Con terrified everyone as Darth Vader. Drake was Batman from the Dark Knight, which was his favorite costume to date.
Con's Halloween preschool program was unintentionally hilarious and cute.
I took everyone up to Johnny's work to trick or treat around the office.
Johnny went as Garth Vader (like, if Garth Brooks and Darth Vader mated).
Then off to trick or treat around the street before getting all sugared up and passing out around the house.
And just like that, October was over.
