Shortly after we got back from Austin we got a visit from Mimi & Pappa! They were here for a week and we kept them busy. Here are pictures of some of our outings:
We started with breakfast at Shady Maple, of course, our favorite Amish/Mennonite Smörgåsbord. (not that we've eaten at any other amish/mennonite eatery, but I'm sure this one could beat them all)
After that, we drove around Amish country. The open fields are beautiful!

We drove on Hunsiker Road, through a town called Hunseker. My mom's maiden name, Hunsaker, derived from both names. Our ancestors lived in the area in the 1700's so it was fun to see homes that dated back to that time. This is a pic of my favorite.
Friday night, we got a babysitter and the adults went to the Sixers opening pre-season game. We had great seats and enjoyed our hot dogs, philly cheesesteaks, and crab fries while watching them win!
After the game we got to go meet two of the players. They were both super nice (probably 'cause Johnny's friend told them we spent loads of money on their basketball program, allowing us to get pictures with them). My favorite part of this moment was my mom saying, before the picture was taken, "I'm eye level with your nipple!" Why did she have to say nipple and not chest or arm pit or something? I love my mom and her choice of words.
Saturday Johnny and I went up to NYC for the day. My parents took the kids downtown to see Independence Hall and some of the sites.

On Monday we we to Washington's Crossing, where Washington crossed the Delaware River, and my dad took some family pictures. I love Bubba's face in this one, never mind that his hands are blurry.
We also went over to one of my very favorite places, the Princeton University campus, to show my parents how beautiful it is. Again, I love, LOVE Bubba's face in this pic.

It was so fun having them out and it was hard to see them go. Drake loved having his Mimis and Pappas here waiting on him hand and foot and spoiling him rotten, and I loved showing them this beautiful place. Thanks for coming Mom and Dad!
